Artificial Intelligence over the past 70 years has evolved starting from the United States Department of Defense. This all started in the 1960s when they would train computers to copy human on how they work and take part in actions. Today, Artificial intelligence has became more develop. For example, Alexa, which is a digital assistant that response to human voices that returns music, reading text message, sending text message, emails, turning off and on the lights, news, sports, and so much more.
Artificial Intelligence has changed the industry today by having large businesses, such as hotels/capsules have humanoid robots operating in the service and entertainment industries. AI also has made things simpler for people to check in and out of the hotel and have controlled wagons take the guest suit cases to their rooms without having a bell boy do that for them.
One of the few issues that Artificial Intelligence create for workers are lack of employment. If the industry seeks more into humanoid robots to serve their industry, humans wont have any available job opportunities or will be unemployed. For example, trucking is one of the largest industries in the United States, every item each America brought, is delivered by truck. Some trucking companies are trying the come with a solution to have trucks drive on it own with out a human truck driver, drive the truck. With this problem, there will be a major shortage of truck drivers then there already is.
With Artificial Intelligence taking over, our society in 2030 there will have a huge amount of people who are unemployed. A lot of people won’t have the opportunity to get a job, and get money to pay their bills. Not only that, but people will get comfortable staying home and get lazy to work if our society leans more into Artificial Intelligence.
Interactions are important in our daily lives, without us communicating with one another, it can becomes unhealthy for our health. If our society has more Artificial Intelligence, we would have a lot of miscommunications with information that’s been provided, and makes everyone in the world less human. For example, if schools were to lean more on Artificial Intelligence, learning, speech, learning translation will be different compare with AI then communicating in person.
For my professional Career I want to become a flight attendant. In most airports there are technologies that makes passengers get their boarding pass faster and easier, rather then waiting in a long line. If airports lean more on Humanoid fight attendants and have planes fly on their own with out human pilots, I feel that the economy will go down, because people wouldn’t want to fly a plane because the Artificial Intelligence.
Some technologies/services I see today are parking garages have machines on each levels for everyone to pay their parking tickets, these machines are suppose to help people pay their parking ticket faster rather then paying it before their coming out of the parking garages, but the cons about this situation is that people who works for this type of position are going to lose their jobs.
